प्रशंसा अल्लाह ही के लिए हैं जो सारे संसार का रब हैं

الرَّحْمـنِ الرَّحِيمِ
बड़ा कृपालु, अत्यन्त दयावान हैं
Most Gracious, Most Merciful;

مَـالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
बदला दिए जाने के दिन का मालिक हैं
Master of the Day of Judgment.

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
हम तेरी बन्दगी करते हैं और तुझी से मदद माँगते हैं
Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.

اهدِنَــــا الصِّرَاطَ المُستَقِيمَ
हमें सीधे मार्ग पर चला Show us the straight way,

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِمْ غَيرِ المَغضُوبِ عَلَيهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ
उन लोगों के मार्ग पर जो तेरे कृपापात्र हुए, जो न प्रकोप के भागी हुए और न पथभ्रष्ट
The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.
